Week 5, Entry 2
This week we worked with graphing tangent and cotangent functions. We learned how to graph the inverses of the functions. As we went over it in class, i pulled up a video to look over.

Week 5
Before given a lesson, my teacher gave us a packet to complete on graphing tangent functions. I had no idea what i was doing, so i used my Khan Academy app to look over a video that explained it more.
Helpful equations and terms:
tan x=sin x/cos x

Week 3
19 January 2013
This past week we worked on graphing sine and cosine functions. In order to graph a sine and cosine function, the amplitude and period need to be identified. As my teacher explained how to find these things, i couldn't quite understand the concept. To gain a better understanding, I used my Khan Academy app. As i watched the video, there were examples done to help me and examples for me to complete. With the extra help, i was able to memorize the terms that were repeated and understand this concept in a better way.

Week 2
10 January 2013
This week we have been working on Triangular Trigonometry. With this section, the six different trig functions are used with right triangles. We started out by identifying the six trig functions in a right triangle. We also used the functions to solve for the missing sides and angles of triangles. I was able to go onto my Khan Academy: Trigonometry app and pull up a video that could help me with this lesson. The video provided equations such as:

Week 1
4 January 2013
From the four tools i use, i decided to reflect on Khan Academy.
Usually after I have a break from school, as we did, i tend to forget things taught before the break. With the help of this app i was able to catch up on the things i was previously taught. Such as converting radians to degrees and vice versa. I also tend to forget equations and terms. While in class, i was able to look up vocabulary and equations i hadn't quite memorized yet. I was able to access my app via iOS, but you can access it on Android.

Selecting Apps and Websites
Helpful Math Apps and Websites:
- Trig Pro
- onlinemathlearning.com
- Khan Academy Pre-Calculus
- themathpage.com
Math isn't my strongest subject and i can use as much help as possible. From the four apps and tools listed above i was able to grasp a better and more detailed idea of Pre-Calculus. The reason I chose to try out Trig Pro was because it was an app recommended by my math teacher. When i first downloaded this app, I noticed there were many different terms and lesson to choose from. For example, there was a unit circle section, where a completed unit circle was completed. Recently, being introduced to the unit circle, this app was very handy. Online Math Learning is a tool i have used with my previous years of math, when i was unsure of something. This website offers lessons on almost every possible math there is. Whenever i needed to look up something on pre-calculus, i was able to review other elements of math that were related to what i was studying. For example, I heard about Khan Academy a couple years back, and i heard it was a very helpful math site. I decided to try it and I loved it. There various videos that taught math in a way i was able to understand. When i was informed that there was a Khan Academy app, i had to download it. Just the thought of having a helpful tool whenever i needed it, lightened the worries i had about math. The Math Page was something new to me. As i researched helpful math tools, themathpage.com was one of first results to come up. I decided to see what if offered. As i explored the web page, i saw that there different math terms, equations, definitions, and explanations that could potentially be helpful for Pre-Calculus.
